I follow few blogs. Even fewer livejournals these days. But this one was shared by my sig other and it just had me laughing...
Apparently this poor guy is a linux advocate and was loading it on machines for kids. There is so much more going on in the blog it is worth reading. My favorite excerpts (by now already seen by slashdot fans):

This is a world where Windows runs on virtually every computer and putting on a carnival show for an operating system is not helping these children at all. I am sure if you contacted Microsoft, they would be more than happy to supply you with copies of an older verison of Windows and that way, your computers would actually be of service to those receiving them
So for a few years now my gf and I have enjoyed roller derby.
This confession is sometimes met with amusement, somethings with disappointment.
Some feel this is fine, others concern themselves with the sexploitation of the women involved.
Regardless, our local paper did a write up on our local heroes and it captures some of why we really enjoy this sport:
