sitting in my forensics lab looking at.. a Compaq Presario 1680... no power supply or battery.

Sometimes this work is entertaining; especially when someone drops one of these. 1680 is not only the series

number but from the look of it, the year it was released.

I know I could just crack the case and start fishing but I really prefer to follow mfg directions for opening these

systems up.

So my someday mission is.. create a library of user manuals for machines that poor schmoes like me can go look up system schematics, etc.  I suspect it is out there somewhere.. waiting for me to find it like Indy found the Arc of the covenant...
